Installation News: L’Oscar London

The city of London is now packed with luxury and boutique hotels and the slow down in growth of premium accommodation is showing little sign of stopping, with thousands more rooms being added to the capitals portfolio between now and the end of the decade.

Excalibur recently supplied chairs from our Grand Ballroom range to a new luxury boutique hotel opening in early 2017.

Located in Southampton Row and owned by Triangle Hotels and Resorts, a division of investment and asset management group Triangle, the property is expected to be the first of several boutique hotels of the same name to open in key cities across Europe.

The London hotel, which is located within an Edwardian Baroque building, which was originally the headquarters of the Baptist Union is being developed at a cost of around £40m.

Parisian interior designer Jacques Garcia is undertaking the transformation of the building, which is expected to feature “opulent and lavish” designs.

Without question one of the finest banqueting chairs in the world, the individual bamboo aluminium sections that make up the Grand Ballroom chair are individually cut, welded and polished by hand to create the intricate design.

The model specified for this project 31903s meets the demands of longer term seating situations with the addition of the three upholstered panels in the back rest.

New clear stacking buffers prevent wear and as with all Excalibur seating there are no visible fastenings on the chair.

This model is now also available in our wood grain frame finishes which look excellent.
